Yoga 4 Teens
In this class series, we’ll focus each week on what young teens need most to feel strong and flexible, and to relieve the stress of their busy lives. Yoga can help create a better sense of self, health & well-being. It can offer balance to academic and extra-curricular demands and compliments sport training and other physical activities.
We’ll explore a variety of yoga poses, yoga styles and breathing techniques to calm and energize.
An extended savasana (resting period) will be included each week to help teens leave relaxed, refreshed and ready for their active lives.
Previous yoga experience is not required.
Participants should dress for yoga and bring a yoga mat and water bottle each day.

Christine Carpenter is a certified CircusYoga, Radiant Child Yoga and Yoga For All teacher who has been leading children, teen and family yoga and movement classes and workshops through the Town of Guilderland Summer Camp programs for many years.
She has been teaching yoga in the Capital Region and beyond for nearly two decades. She is a writer specializing in issues relating to education and holds an Masters’ of Science in Elementary Education from the College of St. Rose.
