Dear Families -
Fall's arrival should bring a change to cooler weather, with leaves and plentiful outdoor activities. Please take the time to visit your Town parks, trails and fall harvest events. If you haven't tried it yet, check out Hike Guilderland!, which provides interactive trail maps with descriptions, trailhead locations and general information useful for hikers and bicyclists, and in a few months, for snowshoers. This hiking app is part of the Town's continuing effort to follow recommendations in neighborhood studies for development of "green infrastructure" of biking and hiking trail maps connecting residential neighborhoods to schools, library, YMCA, local businesses and other points of interest.
This beautiful season keeps us busy behind the scenes, executing our fall programming and beginning the preparations of our upcoming summer festivities. Many are nearing the end of our Guilderland Youth Cross Country and Yoga 4 Teens programming. Yoga 4 Teens will offer an additional session and we will again offer our Fall Craft Workshop and the ever popular Saturday Morning Basketball. Registration information will soon follow - click on "Register Now" above to view our current camp offerings.
If you participated in camps this summer, you know we will be looking for your child's most recent immunization record. If you submitted a copy of your child’s immunization record to our office, they are now added to your Guildelandrec account. Please take a moment to review each member of your household account. We will need an up-to-date submission of your child’s immunization record prior to the beginning of camp.
For your convenience, we will be implementing a feature that allows you to upload your child's records directly to your account. The steps to upload immunization records are as follows:
Please note there is not a clear indication which file or even if the file was uploaded successfully. Steps can be repeated if necessary. If you experience any difficulty, for assistance, call the Parks and Recreation Office at 518-456-3150. In addition, records may be mailed or dropped off to Guilderland Parks and Recreation, 181 State Route 146, Altamont, NY 12009, faxed to 518-456-3156 or emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. The submission of immunization records will be reviewed and approved by the Parks & Recreation Department.
